A small marsupial mammal, Tarsipes rostratus, the tait of West Australia. b. adj. Of or belonging to the family Tarsipedidæ, of which this animal is the type. So tarˈsipedid, -ine, -oid adjs., belonging to the family Tarsipedidæ.
